Summer 2017 Programs

Farm Family Time

UPDATE: FINISHED FOR THE SEASON.

Dates: see above

Time: 5:30-7:00PM

Location: Growing Oshkosh Urban Farm Site (530 Bay Shore Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54901)

Who: All families are welcome to visit the farm during this time, but parents are responsible for their children

Cost: FREE

Content: Come spend time on the farm, as a family. Each week, families will get to spend time together in the Children's Learning Garden while helping care for and harvest the gardens. Any harvested produce is shared among the families, and occasional weeks will have specific youth oriented activities. It's a free, semi-structured time for families to enjoy time together while learning more about gardening and food. There is no family limit for these times; produce will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

No registration is necessary for this event. Please note that we will not run the program in the event of poor weather-- please check our facebook page for updates.

Family Programs

Food draws people together, and that's why Growing Oshkosh has devoted a portion of our mission to developing programs specifically for families. Due to the seasonality of farming, different events will reflect the current season in their educational content as the farm is in constant motion. Updates will be made regularly! Email questions to growingoshkosh@gmail.com.
